This class is for beginners in machine sewing and experience beginners. It is a combination of Machine sewing and Hand sewing. If you are a beginner, you will learn the basics of machine sewing and work on basics projects, once you are ready as an experienced beginner you will learn techniques for how to repair your clothes from holes to hems and will learn how to resize some simple outfits, this also includes re-fashioning your clothes.

Whether you're a beginner in machines sewing, looking to master the basics, enhance your sewing skills, learn basic clothes repairs, or simply enjoy a fun and social activity, this class offers the perfect opportunity to connect with others who share a passion for sewing and sustainability. All materials and sewing machines are included for this class but you are welcome to bring your sewing projects that you have been working on an need help with.

If you've never used a sewing machine or need a refresher, then this is the class for you! . Even though this class is promoted for beginners, it welcomes all levels and skills.
Prerequisite: Completion of a beginner class at Ciclo or an equivalent course at another studio within the last year.

INTRO TO MACHINE SEWING - CICLO 101
Wednesdays 6:30pm-8:25pm
Cost: $195/month (4 Classes)
This class is designed for experienced beginners in machine sewing, however, If you feel you need a refresher, we're happy to provide assistance during the class. If you have already completed a beginners project and you would like to learn how to use commercial patterns, we can guide you through the process. Sewing Machines and sewing materials are included.

This class is for all levels of machine sewing.
If you are a beginner, you will learn from the beginning of machine sewing, learn simple projects, and later add more sewing skills.
You can bring your patterns and we will guide you on how to use them and work with them, or you will be able to work on one of the projects that we have available for you at the studio.
Pre-requisite: Completion of a beginner class at Ciclo or an equivalent course at another studio within the last year.
CLASS DETAILS

Cost: $150/month (4 Classes)
Each class is 120 minutes long. In this class, you will have three different projects options:
Option one: Bomber jacket
Option two: Pajama pants
Option three: Blouse Challenge
Any project you choose is a great option to keep adding new sewing skills to your repertoire, such as sewing a separating zipper and making a welt pocket.
This class is suitable for experienced beginners and intermediate-level students. It may take more that one month of classes to finish the jacket so you may need to enroll for an extra month. This class is for experience beginners & Intermediate level.
Machines and sewing materials are included for this class but you are welcome to bring your own fabric remnants.

This class is for all levels of machine sewing.

CLASS DETAILS
This is available as a 1:1 or group private class. After booking we will coordinate a time that works for both parts.
Cost: $195/month (4 Classes)
Private classes are 90 minutes long, you have the option to add 30 minutes extra to your session.
During this class students will learn the difference between knit and woven fabrics, and the different stitches needed. Learn the difference about sewing machine needles and how to replace and change them. Learn to pin correctly and use a simple pattern. Hem edges of knit fabrics with zig zag stretch stitch with the correct seam allowance, how to sew a casing for elastic waistbands, how to sew elastic bands directly into fabrics and much more. You will also have the chance to use a serger if you are interested in it.
This option is to book as a private class.
Prerequisite: Intro to Machine Sewing - Ciclo 101 or demonstrate basic knowledge of machine sewing.

During this class you will learn how to take your body measurements correctly.
We will help you develop a sloper pattern based on your specific body measurements; and that sloper can be used to draft an endless number of patterns at home, or modify commercial patterns and achieve a more customized fit. A bodice sloper details the length, width, and shape of your torso, as well as the bust points and the length of bust darts.
