MONDAYS 5-6:30pm - UP-CYCLE & REFASHION - Hand Sewing & Machine Sewing Class
MONDAY - UP-CYCLE & REFASHION - HAND SEWING AND MACHINE SEWING- 90 minutes class
Pre-requisite: None
Cost: Whole semester 10 dates: $420 (Fees included)

Ages: 9-12 YEARS OLD
DATES: Full Semester February 3rd through April 21st, 2024. (NO CLASS ON 2/17 & 3/31)
DESCRIPTION OF CLASS:
During this sewing class, students will develop both hand-sewing and machine-sewing skills. We will introduce the art of up-cycling and recycling clothing, incorporating embroidery and various techniques to refashion and personalize garments. Students will also explore mending, stamping, painting, and other creative approaches to transforming their clothes.
Participants can choose to work on one of the studio's available projects or bring their own design ideas, which we can collaborate on throughout the semester.
We work with pre-loved clothes and discarded textiles.
All materials are included for this class.
Students are welcome to bring their own pre-loved clothes, either their own size or adult size.
TUESDAYS 4:30-6pm- Absolute beginner in machine sewing. (Ages 6 -9 years old)

DESCRIPTION OF CLASS:
This class is designed for the youngest "sewists" 6 y.o and up who are very interested in learning who to operate the sewing machine and make fun projects from accessories to finish garment! We work with pre-loved clothes and discarded textiles. All materials are included for this class.
TUESDAYS 4:30-6pm- TEENS! Denim Deconstruct to Up-cycle sewing class.
TUESDAYS - Denim Deconstruction to upcycle sewing class
Pre-requisite: NON
Ages: 12 1/2 -17 years old
Cost: -Whole semester (12 dates): $ 500 (Fees included).

DATES: FULL Semester starting on January 28th through May 13th, 2024. (NO CLASS ON 2/18 & 4/1)
DESCRIPTION OF CLASS:
During this sewing and fashion class students will be introduce to the Art of Denim deconstruction to then be able to create a full up-cycled denim collection by learning how to maximize the use of these textiles. During this 10 weeks intensive program, students will have up-cycled between 1-5 items, depending on skill level and difficulty of the project (can include garment, hats, jewerly, shoes).
We work with pre-loved clothes and discarded textiles.
Students must bring 4 to 10 pairs of old/discarded denim clothes in adult size (denim jeans, denim jacket, denim shirt, etc) to use during the class. We will have some of these materials available at the class as well. All other sewing materials and sewing machines are included for this class.

WEDNESDAY- INTRO TO MACHINE SEWING - Beginner and Intermediate Beginner

DATES: FULL Semester starting on February 5th through May 14th, 2024. (NO CLASS ON 2/19 & 4/2)
DESCRIPTION OF CLASS:
If you've never used a sewing machine, or you have some knowledge in machine sewing, then this is the class for you! This is a pre-requisite for all other classes on machine sewing. These skills lay a strong foundation for you to build on with future sewing projects. In this class, you will complete 1 to 4 projects.
Even though this class is promoted for beginners, it welcomes all levels and skills. All materials are included for this class.Students are welcome to donate pre-loved clothes in adults sizes.

DESCRIPTION OF CLASS:
New to hand sewing? This is the perfect place to start!
We will spend lots of time practicing threading and tying knots, which is the trickiest part of hand sewing.
We’ll also learn the difference between the whip, blanket, and running stitches, and how to sew a button. Take home with a skill book demonstrating everything you’ve learned.
Use these skills to make all sorts of fun projects! We will create clothes for your doll or teddy bear, will hand sew animal friends, blankets, Kawaii food, etc.
